"SWAHA in Mohiniyattam" a duet Mohiniyattam presentation with Sanjukta Banerjee. SWAHA dance presentation is a rare showcase which includes a male and a female duo Mohiniyattam dancer engaging in a traditional repertoire. it highlights the Purush and the Prakriti, the masculine and feminine elements of Nature working parallel for maintaining synergy and harmony in the Universe . Conceptualized and conceived by Sanjukta Banerjee as a part of her research studies on Men in Mohiniyattam: An Ethnographic Study on Gender Binaries SWAHA will be presented at the prestigious Asia Pacific Dance Festival at University of Hawaii, Manoa on August 3rd 2019.
